This is the substance of a pioneer Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signed Friday February 14th, 2025 between The University of Bamenda and The Cameroon Muslim Development Association.
Signing on behalf of the University of Bamenda was the Vice Chancellor Professor Theresia Nkuo and the President of the Cameroon Muslim Community Development Association Barrister Unusa Karimu.
The MoU will promote education and research in Islamic Banking and Finance, Healthcare and Agriculture.
It comes at a time when the University of Bamenda- a member of the Regional Universities Forum for Capacity Building in Agriculture, RUFUROM a consortium of over 170 universities is currently executing a 100 million dollar-grant from the MasterCard foundation known as TAGDev2.0.
UBa alongside the universities of Ngaoundere and Maroua is also implementing a joint grant of over one million US Dollars in the domain of Agri-food system and Entrepreneurship.
UBa's Vice Chancellor indicated that these agreements constitute a springboard for Cameroon's emergence by 2035.
This MoU was signed in the presence of the Brigadier General Husseini Djibo, Commander of the 5th Gendarmerie Region
