Research: Faculty of Education Holds a Two Day Seminar Workshop on Research Methodology
Post graduate students in the Faculty of Education have been schooled on research methodology and methods in education. This was in a two day seminar workshop that opened June 15-16 at amphitheatre 340. Opening the two day seminar workshop, the Deputy Vice Chancellor in charge of Research and Cooperation with the Business world, Professor Rosaline M. Jua, who challenged officials of the Faculty of Education to organize more workshops on research methods to give students the opportunity to periodically gain knowledge on writing their dissertations and thesis as well as getting their articles published.
Speaking at the event, the Dean of the Faculty of Education, Professor Titanji Peter, intimated that the seminar workshop was necessary after supervisors realized students in the faculty had gaps in writing their research projects.
Napoleon Asongji, a Phd student and participant at the workshop says he looks forward in acquiring more knowledge about research and its modalities.
For two days participants have been schooled on foundations of education and research philosophy, statement of the problem,sources of and use of literature in educational research, methodology and methods, place of hypotheses, presentation and discussion of findings.
